A Third Sex and the City Movie?

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

Oh-oh, get out the walkers and incontinence pads, cause Kim Cattrall is saying there's going to be a third Sex and the City movie.

"We'll call time when there are no stories left to tell and that's really the writer Michael Patrick King's call," Kim said.

But then came the ironic comment: "The great thing about the Sex and the City series was that we didn't stay too long," Kim continued. "The fact that we've had this second life is amazing. But I'd hate for people to think,'Oh my god, there's another one out there.'"
As I said before, this show that I loved so much is in danger of becoming a parody of the Golden Girls if they keep making movie sequels. I think they should just cast a quartet of younger women and start from scratch, cause nobody wants to see a bunch of 50-something women trying to dress and act like they're 30.

Video: Glee's Sue Sylvester Does Madonna's Vogue

This is beyond fabulous. Look at Jane Lynch move. I wonder how many times they all had to watch the original. An observation: Jane Lynch's skin looks the way Madonna's would if she hadn't had all of those cosmetic procedures.

Watch: New Sex and the City 2 Trailer

In the worst kept secret of the past year, Aidan (John Corbett) is back in the Sex and the City sequel. And while a friend of mine called him a douche on Facebook, I always thought Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) should have ended up with Aidan and not the emotionally unavailable, dumped-her-at-the-altar Big (Chris Noth). But while the ladies look fabulous (including Samantha's Adam Lambert-inspired studded shoulders — at what point does looking fabulous cross the line into looking ridiculous?), I can't help thinking that I don't really want to watch a bunch of perimenopausal women getting their groove back in the Arabian desert. And then the whole conversation about marriage and babies rather bores me. But of course I'm going to see the movie. I just hope that in 5 to 10 years' time they're not still cranking out these SATC sequels, cause then we'll be well into Golden Girls territory. (Did you know that the characters were only in their early to mid fifties when that series began — scary — and Samantha is 52...)  Here's how it plays out in my mind: Blanche = Samantha. Rose = Charlotte. Sophia = Miranda. Dorothy = Carrie.

Justin Bieber is Taking Over the World, One Website at a Time

Thursday, April 1, 2010

As Justin Bieber was kind enough to remind us in this video, this is Bieber's world, you're just living in it. The 16-year-old sensation took over Funny or Die today (claiming he bought it, and renaming it Bieber or Die), and showed that an acting career and total media domination is just around the corner. But what will parents of tweens think of him saying "Bitch!"? Hey Justin, this website is also for sale if you want it. Snapcrackleandbieber.com?
And not to be outdone, Urlesque has been taken over by Steve Urkel. Go on click here to see it, you know you want to.

Anna Paquin Comes Out as Bisexual

True Blood star Anna Paquin has come out as bisexual in a public service announcement for the Give a Damn campaign, which promotes equality for gay, straight, bisexual and transgendered people.

According to People.com, no one was expecting Anna to make the announcement when she filmed the PSA at the end of January, which also features Sharon Osbourne, Cyndi Lauper, Wanda Sykes, Clay Aiken, Jason Mraz and Elton John.

Anna, 27, is engaged to her True Blood co-star Stephen Moyer. I'm not particularly surprised, but I do wonder why she felt the need to let everyone know.
